These images are meant to rekindle memories for those of us who were born between 1946 and 1964, the "Baby Boom,"
a period following World War II when birth rates increased dramatically. We were the first group to be raised on television. Idealized
family settings such as Ozzie and Harriet and Leave it to Beaver were shown in almost every home in America. As teenagers,
we drove our parents crazy listening to rock and roll on our transistor radios. We lived during the era of fads, such as the hula hoop
and coonskin caps. As children, we played Cowboys and Indians. We watched The Rifleman, Gunsmoke, and Bonanza on television.
With our Daniel Boone musket, we tried to emulate what we saw. During the 1950's there was also a fascination with outer space. Movies
such as The Day the Earth Stood Still, featured aliens from some distant planet, with futuristic rayguns emitting "death rays" on
the helpless people of Earth. Looking back, it was all great fun, not to be taken too seriously. I hope these images bring back memories
for all "Baby Boomers," and that they spark interest for all who come after.
All the items shown on these prints are original, made in the early 1950's to the mid-1960's. They were either
purchased or loaned from private collectors. They are not modern replicas that can be purchased at retail stores or on retro web sites.
Many months were spent searching for these collectibles. As originals, they come with the wear and tear of fifty years of enjoyment.
Their marks and dents all have a story.
These are not offset-lithography posters which are printed in large quantities and can be bought in retail stores. Each print is a "Limited Edition" of 75, signed and numbered by the artist. After the 75 prints have been sold, there will be no others available. These are exquisite handcrafted prints, created utilizing Epson archival inks and printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308 gsm, one of the finest art papers available.
